Turning people into fully devoted followers of Jesus

*** APRIL 3, 2020 *** UPDATE ON COVID-19

April 3, 2020

Hello Church! We hope you’re all adjusting well to the new normal. We sincerely pray that you’ll be safe, stay healthy and be well cared for.

The Alberta Government has lowered the allowable mass gathering number from 50 to 15, while closing non-essential businesses. The change requires further adjustments for us as responsible citizens in this public health crisis. We encourage you to persevere by God’s strength in peace and grace.

Taking care of you and each other…

If you know of any needs among our community, please let us know through the pastors, fellowship, or small group leaders. We will not leave anyone behind, and we’re here to care for you and each other.

We’ve also developed a new rhythm of doing church differently:

  • You can join us to pray for each other regularly on Wednesday night prayer meetings:   [ English ]   [ Cantonese ]  [ Mandarin ]
  • Pastors’ Wednesday devotions are a great source of spiritual strength and personal touch. You can access the same links above for the devotional videos.
  • We look forward to our Sunday services as we get together to sing and praise God, and to listen to His word (https://www.ecac.ca/). We welcome your comments through YouTube or email to help us connect with each other.
  • We’ve received enquiries regarding the offering process. We’re working providing you with additional options to give and will update you shortly.

Please note that the Sunday service stream will start 15 minutes early to allow to you join early and prepare your heart. This will begin at 9:15 am for Cantonese and Mandarin, and 11:00 am for English and Children & Youth. In addition, we’ll have another historic first: Cantonese and Mandarin services will participate together in online communion this Sunday.

Join us on Facebook so that you can stay connected with our community and keep up-to-date. Like our page by searching “Edmonton Chinese Alliance Church” on Facebook!

We recommend an innovative tool from Alberta Health Services to deal with stress and isolation at home called Text4Hope. It’s proven effective in the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfires. The service provides a daily free text message. To subscribe: text COVID19HOPE to 393939.

Regrettably, we have to inform you that our Open House scheduled for June 27 will be cancelled for public health reasons.
