1. Discernment weekend for the pastoral staff and their families (April 26-28) – They are having the Sunday Service at the Strathcona Wilderness Center this morning. Please continue to pray for them while they are coming back this afternoon.
2. Cambodia STM is May 30 to June 14: Ten church members will join with the Work of Your Hand ministry, including after-school camps, healthcare awareness, Bible studies, and visitations. Visit wordpress.com to keep updated. $17,855.50 out of $41,300 has been raised so far. If you would like to give, please mark “Cambodia STM” on your offering.
We’re also accepting donations of new or lightly used hockey sticks of all sizes. Drop off at the fireplace in the church lobby.
Please pray for the team & their ministry:
- As the mission is just five weeks away, pray for wisdom and effective communication within our team and with Darren & Minako.
- Pray for God’s guidance regarding the ministries we will participate in, such as medical services, public health education, after-school programs, IT support, visitations, and sharing testimonies.
- Pray for each team member to maintain a focus on Jesus amidst the busyness of our schedules.
- Pray for unity and a mission spirit as our church contributes to the Hockey Stick Drive.
- Pray for discernment in selecting and acquiring supplies for the ministries in Cambodia.
- Pray for a practical and cost-effective way to transport the sports and medical supplies to Siem Reap.
- Pray for God’s guidance and protection during our travels, especially navigating air space restrictions in the Middle East, and for smooth connections for our flights.
3. Security and safety are top priorities for everyone visiting or presenting at the ECAC facility. The Facility Maintenance Team would like to remind everyone of the following:
I. Please avoid leaving any valuable items inside your vehicle when parking in the parking lot. There have been instances of theft and vehicle break-ins in the parking lot.
II. The partition wall system in the Dynamic Centre is currently out of service (broken). Please refrain from using the partition until the maintenance and repair work is completed.
III. Recently, there have been incidents where the alarm system was not properly set or the doors were not appropriately locked. It is crucial that all church key holders adhere to the key usage policy. Failure to comply with the policy may result in the cancellation of key privileges.
The Facility Maintenance Team would like to invite brothers and sisters to participate in parking lot patrols from 9am to 12:30pm during the EMC, CMC, and MMC services. Please sign up at the library area, or contact Stephen Yuen (EMC), Rocky To (CMC), Peter Tan (Church Custodian), Anlin Wen (MMC), your pastors, or the church office if you would like to sign up. We greatly appreciate more participation from brothers and sisters.
