1. After months of prayerful discernment and interviews, the Elder Nominations Committee are nominating the following individuals to the ECAC Board of Elders for the 2025-2026 term: Phil Chow, Ryan Ho (incumbent), Jimmy Kwong (incumbent), Ken Lam, Richard Li, and Simon Roa, Joannes Wong (incumbent), and William Wong (incumbent). A printed copy of the Report of the Elder Nominations Committee and the profiles of each nominee are posted on the bulletin board outside the office.

Any current voting member of ECAC may nominate any current member to the Board of Elders in accordance with ECAC’s bylaw section 7.4. Nominations must be submitted to the chairman of the Elder Nomination Committee (i.e., Pastor Arthur Wong) no later than 11:59:59pm on Sunday November 3.

2. Love Offering for Pastor Brandon & Family – Pastor Brandon Crain will be leaving ECAC at the end of October. Our church has set up a love offering account for Pastor Brandon until Oct 3 Please indicate “Pastor Brandon Love Offering” on your offering.  Following Canada Revenue Agency’s guideline, the church WILL NOT issue tax receipts for this designated donation.
3. Pastor Brandon’s Farewell Gathering – Please join us TODAY at 2 pm in the dynamic center for a dessert and snack potluck. This will be a time for our church family to celebrate and say thank you and goodbye to the Crain family. Please bring a dessert or snack to share. Coffee and tea will be provided.
4. ECAC has invited Pastor Richard Raya, an Alliance pastor from Ottawa, to share with us his ministries to Muslims. Come join us on Saturday November 2 at 5:30pm for a potluck dinner (Room 145). Please sign up for the potluck with this QR code.
5. Deadline for Donation in Kind for 2024 – In order for the church to process all Donation In Kind and ensure that the donations are counted for the 2024 tax year, the deadline for making donation in kind of stocks, mutual funds and ETFs is onSunday, November 24, 2024. This means that a Completed DIK form MUST be submitted to Ken Lam (ken.lam@ecac.ca)  or Stewart Wong (stewart.wong@ecac.ca)  by November 24.  Any incomplete form or late submission may not be able to process in time to have the donation included in the 2024 tax year.
