  • There will be representatives as well as display materials from various mission organizations to introduce their ministry works to our congregation. We hope you will learn more about how God is using different ways to spread His Words not only in Edmonton, but also around the globe. The Mission Committee asks that you to pray for the speakers, the weekend, the planning of the event, and pray for yourself participating in this year’s event and listen to what God will speak to you.
  1. We thank God for brothers and sisters who applied to join the Cambodia Short Term Mission this August. Please pray for Pastor Miranda as she works with Darren and Minako Polischuk to finalize some initial planning of the trip. Please also pray for the team as they start with detailed preparation of the trip, including setting the budget for the trip, confirming ministry works while in Cambodia, and other required details. More importantly, please pray that God will protect and keep the team from Satan’s attack. More details about this short term mission trip will be announced in the near future.
  2. The Youth Short Term Mission is going to Port Moody in BC from August 15-22, 2026 to serve in The House of Omeed. This is a Christian-run charity that supports refugees and new immigrants from Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
  • The budget for this trip is $18,150, including air fares, accommodations and meals, local transportation and donation to House of Omeed. Elder Board has approved to use the Short Term Mission Designated Fund for brother and sisters to make offerings into this account to support this trip. The amount set for this designated fund is $8,000. The youth will be fundraising for the House of Omeed and the rest of the trip through a couple of bake sales. Details of these bake sales will be announced in the near future. If you wish to support this STM, please mark “Port Moody STM” on the offering envelope.
  • Please pray for the youth as they apply to join the trip, to plan for the trip and the upcoming fundraising activities; may God grant them wisdom and strength for His Kingdom work.
