Elder Board approved the Mission Policy Framework in May 2025. This policy provides guidance to all mission endeavors of ECAC, including global missions (e.g., short-term mission trips) and local missions (e.g., outreach program / events). The 55th Anniversary ticket prices have been lowered in hopes for all to attend. Besides the banquet, the ticket includes usage of the hotel’s gym and pool on that day. A non-tax-deductible account has been set up for those who wish to help cover the shortfall. If you wish to make a thanksgiving offering toward the 55th anniversary celebration, please indicate “55th anniversary dinner” on your offering envelope or e-transfer message.
In addition to the dinner on that day, 55th Anniversary Special Choir: Now recruiting members to join the adult choir. Rehearsals will be for 5 Sundays from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM starting Sep 7. Final rehearsal on Oct 7 at 7:30 PM. No experience required, must be Christian to join. To participate, please email alinaqq147@gmail.com with the subject, “55th Anniversary Choir Participation”.
The Youth Short Term Mission Trip (August 16-23): Nick Li & Jeneya Ko will bring 9 youth to Port Moody in BC to serve in The House of Omeed. Please pray for them. The budget is $6,0 If you’d like to support this trip, please mark “Port Moody STM” on the offering envelope.
The Board of Elders has approved a 6-month sabbatical leave for Pastor Phoebe Chan, from July 1 – December 31, 2025. While Pastor Phoebe is on leave, Christine Chan and Crystal Ng will coordinate the Children’s Ministry leadership team. The team leads for all JMC-Children ministry are displayed on the church office bulletin board. For more information, please speak with Pastor Arthur Wong, elder Jimmy Kwong, or elder Ken Lam. Please pray for Pastor Phoebe to have a rich time of reflection, renewal, refreshment, and rest.
Staff Away: Pastor Miranda will be on vacation from July 2-5. Pastor Derik is on vacation till July 25. Pastor Wailee is on vacation till July 8.
