1. Pastor Pamelina Chang (Junior Ministry Congregation) has resigned as our youth pastor effective September 21. Pastor Pamelina will be serving at Crosspoint Alliance Church as an associate youth-young-adults pastor beginning in October. There will be a thanksgiving celebration with Pastor Pamelina on Saturday September 20. ECAC is sincerely grateful for her hard work and love for our youth and their families.
2. A non-tax-deductible account has been set up for those who wish to make a love gift for Pastor Pamelina. The gift can be made through cash/cheque or e-transfer, clearly marked “Love Gift for Pastor Pam”. This account will be closed after Sept 21.
3. The job posting for Interim Youth Ministry Director is posted on the bulletin board outside the office. Deadline for application is September 28. For inquiries, please speak to Pastor Arthur (arthur.wong@ecac.ca).
4. Pastor Miranda Yeung (Cantonese Ministry Congregation) will be ordained on Sunday September 21 at 2:30pm. Please come and join us on this momentous occasion! Light snacks will be served in the Dynamic Center after the service.
5. As part of our spiritual preparation for the 55th anniversary of ECAC, we will be “fasting” from the use of the Dynamic Center from September 1 – October 11. No drop-ins or bookings will be permitted. The Dynamic Center will only be open during the following times for regular ministries: Saturdays 2-6pm (Sparks and Glow), 6-9pm (Embers); Sundays 8:30-1pm (MMC worship services and Sunday School). · The 55th Anniversary ticket prices have been lowered in hopes for all to attend. Besides the banquet, the ticket includes usage of the hotel’s gym and pool on that day. A non-tax-deductible account has been set up for those who wish to help cover the shortfall. If you wish to make a thanksgiving offering toward the 55th anniversary celebration, please indicate “55th anniversary dinner” on your offering envelope or e-transfer message.
7. 55th Anniversary Special Joint Choir presenting Rehearsals will be for 5 Sundays from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM starting TODAY. Final rehearsal on Oct 7 at 7:30 PM. No experience required, must be Christian to join.
