Welcome and Thank you: and Mrs. Dave and Jenn (International Workers in North Africa) for leading our mission weekend. Also, some representatives from various mission organizations came to introduce their ministry works to us.
Leadership Onboarding:Discernment and Consensus will be held on Tuesday May 26 from 8:30-9:30pm on Zoom. This is a mandatory training course for all who are in positions of leadership at ECAC. All who wish to explore the topic of Christian leadership are also welcomed to attend!
Pastor Enoch Jeong has applied t 8-10. Enoch will be joined by his wiafe, Jen. Enoch’s biographical information and the candidcy schedule are posted on the church office bulletin board.
Cambodia Short-term Mission on August 10-26. Pray for the 10 members. They are Pastor Miranda, Joannes & Tammy Wong, So Ling Tam, Cavan Chong, Wilson & Gina Wong, Cole Wong, Owen Wong, Tobiah Wong.
The total budget for the trip is $41,200, including air fares, accommodations & meals, travel visa & immunization, materials & misc. The Elder Board has approved to use the Short-Term Mission Designated Fund to support this trip. If congregation wants to support this short-term mission trip, please mark “Cambodia STM” on the offering envelope.
Please pray for Pastor Miranda and the team as they work with Darren and Minako Polischuk to finalize the planning of the trip. More importantly, please pray that God will protect and keep the team from Satan’s attack.
The Youth Short Term Mission is going to Port Moody in BC from August 15-22 to serve in The House of Omeed. This is a Christian-run charity that supports refugees and new immigrants from Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
The budget for this trip is $18,150, including air fares, accommodations and meals, local transportation and donation to House of Omeed. Elder Board has approved to use the Short Term Mission Designated Fund for brother and sisters to make offerings into this account to support this trip. The amount set for this designated fund is $8,000. The youth will be fundraising for the House of Omeed and the rest of the trip through a couple of bake sales. Details of these bake sales will be announced in the near future. If you wish to support this STM, please mark “Port Moody STM” on the offering envelope.
Please pray for the youth as they apply to join the trip, to plan for the trip and the upcoming fundraising activities; may God grant them wisdom and strength for His Kingdom work.
