Church Wide Ministry
- Jared Fath has been approved as the Deacon of Youth Sunday School by the Board of Elders. Along with the JMC Youth Council, he will help give leadership to the Youth Ministry at ECAC. We also want to thank God for Emily Cheng, who has faithfully served in this role for the past two years.
- To apply for an access card for church ministry purposes, please pick up and fill out an application form (including all required signatures) for approval. All new applicants who have been approved are required to attend one of the cardholder training sessions, on either Sept 20th or Oct 4th from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm.
- The 2026-2027 Children & Youth Choir season has begun! So please signup ASAP! Children in Grades 3-9 are welcome to join. For details and registration, please visit the Church Center App or use the QR code.
- Brothers and sisters aged 10 and above are cordially invited to join the ECAC Handchime Choir and serve the Lord through music! Rehearsals will begin on October 2, and registration will open at 1:30 PM on September 20 through the Church Centre App (limited to 12 participants).
- Women’s Fall Cooking & Fellowship Night: Sep 27th, 4-7pm @ Church Café Area/Kitchen. For women (ages 18+) to connect and together! Guided by a community member with culinary arts training, we’ll prepare and enjoy a simple yet delicious 4-course meal. No cooking experience needed! Use the QR code to Register. - Healthy Marriages Ministry – FamilyLife Canada’s Weekend Getaway marriage conference is taking place Nov 20-22, 2026 in Jasper at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Scan the QR code for more details, and contact Michelle Lee at michelle.lee@ecac.ca to register at a group rate.
- Interested in marriage mentoring? Mentor couples meet with you and your spouse, offering private, guided discussions on 14 topics developed by Familylife Canada.
JMC-Youth & Children Ministry

2. JMC Wednesday Prayer Meeting is looking for people to serve! We meet on zoom every Wednesday from 7:30-8:30pm and occasionally in-person. We serve both kids and youth through fellowship and prayer. Volunteers must complete a police check, complete Plan to Protect training, and be conversational in English. If you are interested or have questions, please reach out to Jordyn at Jordyn.ko@ecac.ca:
3. We are looking for people to serve in throughout the JMC. Sign up to for ministry opportunities and to serve using this QR code, via the ECAC website, or email jmc@ecac.ca. We are particularly looking for people to serve in WeeCare, with so many new toddlers expected to join the program, and at the First Impressions Table (FIT), where we greet families and guests, get them signed into their classes, help them find the best classes for them, and witness to, comfort, and protect children and youth throughout the program.
4. Sparks & Glow Ministry – Dinner Volunteers Needed: Each Saturday, 12, 2026–Jun. 29, 2027, our Sparks & Glow workers (~20) serve kids from 3–5 PM, then share dinner before youth fellowship. Help us provide these weekly meals by signing up for one or more Saturdays. Individuals, families, or groups are welcome! Any questions? Please reach out to gina.wong@ecac.ca. - The Entrance to the courtyard near room 145 is currently closed while the new vestibule is being constructed. However, the entrance can still be used during a fire or emergency.
- We are rebuilding the church websites into a single site, with streamlined and modern navigation. The English Ministry’s site is already complete and live, and the Cantonese and Mandarin Ministry sites are still under construction. We will let you know as they become available.

Supporting Families in Nepal
On August 26th, an avalanche of ice and rock from a collapsed glacier on the border of Tibet sent a massive surge of water through a narrow valley in northern Nepal, sweeping away bridges, infrastructure, homes, and everything else in its path. The Alliance Church and our partners on the ground have created first responder teams for emergency relief:
- A medical response team made up of a doctor, nurse and physiotherapist, with medical supplies.
- A logistics team carrying food packets, tarps and hygiene supplies.
Please pray for these teams. Pray for safety, for clear communication and coordination, for wisdom as they assess needs, and for strength.
Please pray for those missing, their families, and rescue efforts, for effective coordination between government, non-government organizations, local communities and first responders, and for wisdom and discernment as relief efforts are organized and aid is distributed honestly and equitably. Pray for those who have lost family members, homes, livelihoods, and communities, and for the road to recovery and rebuilding. Please pray for the hearts of the response teams and that God will equip them to serve. And pray for the church, that God would equip the churches in Nepal to serve their communities well, with wisdom, courage, full and generous hearts, and a tangible display of the loving generous God we follow.… Click here to read more
教會事工
- 經過多年的忠心服事，黃偉俐牧師決定於今年12月31日正式退休。黃牧師在教會擔任國語部義務牧者已有八年之久，在此之前，他也曾多年擔任教會長老。我們衷心感謝他多年來在教會的忠心擺上、愛心牧養與委身服事，並為他的生命和事奉獻上感恩。教會將於2027年春季舉行「事奉慶典」，屆時將一同慶祝並紀念黃牧師多年來的服事。具體日期將另行公佈。
- 張曉牧師將於今日國語堂崇拜聚會中，正式被任命為國語堂主領牧師。
- 若弟兄姊妹因教會事工需要申請門卡，請到辦事處索取申請表，並將填妥的表格（包括相關人員簽署）交回辦事處。所有申請並獲得批准者必須參加9月20日或10月4日中午12:30pm-1:30pm舉辦的持卡者培訓。
- 2026-2027年度兒童及青少年詩班將於9月開始，歡迎三年級至九年級學生參加。詳情及報名請透過 Church Center App 或掃描二維碼查閱及登記。

- 《舊約寶藏(8) 摩西五經的再思》本課程從《摩西五經》歸納神的屬性，探討天庭議會與伊甸園的叛變，以及神為人預備的救恩；從出埃及的經歷中，明白「恩典先於律法」。如同以色列人走過曠野，我們也必經歷生命的煉淨，最終藉著聖靈內住，恢復如伊甸園般的親密相交，活出信仰傳承的託付。
- 《箴言書》箴言是上帝的默示，是上帝透過整個古近東語言，文化傳統作為媒介的一個總收集。箴言是蘊含著智慧的寶庫。這卷書言簡意賅，道盡人生百態。智慧之道是積極，有生氣與有動力地鼓勵人當怎樣去生活，當怎樣去行人生的路；並且在敬畏上帝的前提下過得幸福快樂。
- 《從文學結構理解聖經神學信息》追求認識聖經的旅途上，大家或許也聽過「倒影結構」，「平行句」，「字母詩」等文學結構形式。聖經不單是神學作品，也是文學作品。不同的作者可以用不同的文學手法把神學的訊息表達出來。認識聖經中的文學結構可以為弟兄姊妹在明白聖經的工具箱加添多一件有用的工具。
- 愛城福音頌韻使團在城北宣道會舉行音樂劇佈道會–「約」定愛你，時間9月19日星期六，下午7:00-9:00，有李潤財牧師分享信息，多元素話劇，粵語小曲及茶點招待，歡迎大家及邀請親友參加，詳情可查閱海報。
- 2026年秋季Griefshare系列 “從憂傷到喜樂”粵語課程，是一個幫助痛失至親的人，從哀傷中經歷上帝奇妙愛和醫治的旅程。9月15日至12月16日，逢星期二晚上 7:00pm-8:30pm在網上進行，每課 90分鐘，課程共15堂，其中一堂為小孩面對憂傷而設 (Griefshare for Kids) 。每位學員需繳交作業費用$30，信徒或非信徒的女士均可參加，報名及查詢：griefshare@ecac.ca
JMC-兒童/少年事工
1. 兒童少年部秋季事工已開始。請透過教會中心應用程式（Church Centre APP）、教會網站或掃描JMC通訊中的二維碼為您的孩子報名適合他們年齡的活動。兒童少年部通訊提供紙本版（可在歡迎接待處和兒童青少年FIT接待處領取），也可透過掃描二維碼網上查看。
2. 兒童青少年週三禱告會（WPM）正在尋找義工。禱告會於每週三晚上透過zoom聚會，偶爾安排實體聚會。主要透過團契與禱告服事兒童及青少年。義工需完成警方背景審查及Plan to Protect 培訓，並具備基本英語溝通能力。若您有興趣或疑問請聯繫：Jordyn.ko@ecac.ca

- 教會現正重新設定、整合各堂會的網站以便提供一個更簡潔、現代化的頁面。英文部已正式上線，粵語及國語部仍在更新中，完成後將另行通知。
- 因正在進行新門安裝工程，145室旁後院出入口暫停使用。如遇火災或緊急情況，仍可作為緊急疏散出口。
尼泊爾災區緊急救援禱告
8月26日，尼泊爾與西藏邊境發生嚴重泥石流災害，重創尼泊爾北部，造成橋樑、房屋及基礎設施全部損毀。加拿大宣道會與當地夥伴已組成醫療及後勤救援隊，攜帶醫療用品、食物、防水布及衛生用品，為受災家庭提供緊急援助。請為救援隊的安全、有智慧地溝通協調和安排禱告，求神帶領團隊有效評估及回應災區需要；為失蹤者、受災家庭及搜救工作禱告，求神安慰失去親人、家園及生計的人，並帶領後續重建與恢復工作。也請神賜福尼泊爾當地教會，使他們以智慧、勇氣及愛心服事受災社區，見證神恩典與慈愛的供應。
