- Community of Women Advent Teatime Potluck – Sunday, Nov 22 , 2:00 – 4:00pm in the Worship Center. Carols led by the ECAC Youth Choir, a teatime potluck (please bring a sweet or savoury treat to share) and holiday crafts. We are also collecting new mittens and socks for Hope Mission. Bring your family and friends!
Elder Nominations
The report of the Elder Nominating Committee (ENC) has been posted on the church office bulletin board and disseminated to the membership via email. Please review before the Annual Membership Meeting (November 15). After months of discernment and prayer, it seems good to the Holy Spirit and to the ENC that Gordon Crawford, Terry Gee, Caleb Kwok and Rocky To be nominated for a 2-year term. The ENC also discerned that incumbent elders Jimmy Kwong, Ken Lam, Simon Roa, Joannes Wong and William Wong be nominated for another 2-year term. If there are any questions, please contact any member of the ENC (Pastor Arthur Wong, Elder Philip Chow, Elder Joannes Wong, June Cheung and Ken Poon).
In accordance with Article 7.4 of our bylaw, additional nominations for elders may be made by any voting member provided that: (a) the nomination is submitted to the chairman of the nominating committee (i.e., Pastor Arthur Wong) no later than two Sundays preceding the date of the meeting at which the election is to take place (i.e., November 1 at 11:59:59pm); and (b) the nomination bears the written acceptance of the nominee as well as the signature of a seconder who is a voting member.
