The Curse of Sin
Scripture: Romans 1:16-32 We are heading back to the New Testament and looking into Romans 1:16-32 and understanding what Sin is. Sin separates us from God. To avoid sin, we need to know how it works and how it can control us. We will be taking a plunge into understanding what sin is and what it can do to us. What is Operation Christmas Child? Operation Christmas Child is a hands-on way for Canadians to bless struggling children in the developing world by filling shoeboxes with toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and other items. We collect the boxes and distribute them in the name of Jesus Christ to children living in desperate situations Instructions 1. Choose Age and Gender 2. Pack your box 3. Write a Christmas Card 4. Pray over your box and the child receiving 5. Include $10.00 in the envelope for shipping 6. Drop off at Edmonton Chinese Alliance Church by November 15 Suggestions of Items to pack: ● Toys: Include items that children will immediately embrace such as toy cars, yo-yos, jump ropes, balls, toys that light up and make noise (with extra batteries), etc. ● School Supplies: pens, pencils and sharpeners, crayons, markers, notebooks, paper, solar calculators, coloring and picture books, etc. ● Non-liquid Hygiene Items: toothbrushes, bar soap, combs, washcloths, etc. ● Accessories: T-shirts, socks, hats, sunglasses, hair clips, jewelry, watches, flashlights, etc. ● A Personal Note: You may enclose a note to the child and a photo of yourself, your family, or group. If you include your name and an address, the child may be able to write back. Since the new school year has started and I have not seen your children for a long time, I would love to update the Children’s Ministry information just to keep track and even stop asking, “What grade are you now?”. We would love if all our parents from JMC Children and Youth to fill out this form for Uncle Andrew and I to keep track and send out info regarding the plans for the upcoming school year.
